- Rule 26-956
In Rule 26-956 regarding the installation of submersible pumps, the words “lakes, rivers, and streams” have been replaced with “bodies of water”. The intent of this change was to add other bodies of water such as seas and oceans, to ensure the requirements of this rule applies to all bodies of water. Ground fault protection is now required for submersible pumps, not a GFCI protected circuit. GFCI like Bender Canada LIFEGUARD® protects people. Ground fault protection like Bender Canada RCMA or RCMS protects equipment.
